Kristen Berry is a full-time sailing educator who is a US Sailing-certified instructor and coach. Kristen owns and operates Gale Force Sailing, an Annapolis, MD-based company that specializes in personalized training and support for sailors of all kinds. When he’s not out on the water with clients, he works with the U.S. Naval Academy’s Basic Sail Training program and supports New York’s Hudson River Community Sailing organization as an advisory board member.

Before dedicating himself to helping individuals and teams achieve their sailing goals, Kristen was a director of J World, The Performance Sailing School in Annapolis, and led the Downtown Sailing Center in Baltimore as its executive director.

Kristen has also held the position of Executive Director of Our Nation’s Capital, a DC-based advocacy organization working for voting rights on behalf of DC residents. Always committed to environmental protection and conservation; he was the president and founder of BirdPAC, a political action committee. Prior to founding BirdPAC, Kristen was the Director of Communications and Grassroots Manager of the National Audubon Society in Washington, DC.
